- Bicycle Check
- We strongly encourage you to verify the road worthiness of your bicycle before the day of the ride. On the day of the ride, we will have an inspection area, staffed by the University of Missouri-Rolla Cycling Club, for anyone who may need last minute minor adjustments (seat height, handlebar adjustment, etc. - not brake or derailleur tune-ups) to their bicycle. There will also be a pump to inflate your tires before you set out on your chosen route.
- Rest Stops
- There are a total of ten rest stops along the various routes. All rest stops will have water and food for the ride participants. Many of the rest stops will be staffed by a radio operator capable of communicating with ride day headquarters.
In addition to the rest stops there are also several convenience stores and old fashioned crossroads stores along the routes.
Be sure to carry plenty of water and food between the stops too. You may need a little extra boost to get you to the next rest stop or convenience store.
- Radio Support
- After using or attempting to use cell phones for the first few years, we have been very fortunate to receive enthusiastic support of the Rolla Regional Amateur Radio Society. The radio club provides constant support and is in constant communication with other radio operators and ride day headquarters in Rolla at Beuhler Park.
Cellular telephone service along the routes is not reliable.
- Sag Support
- All courses are monitored by support vehicles carrying tire pumps, spare inner-tubes, and water. Please keep in mind that not all of our support vehicles are driven by expert bicycle mechanics. You are welcome to the service that the sag vehicles provide, but the vehicle may or may not be staffed by someone who knows how to make basic bicycle repairs.
- Post Ride Massage
- Post ride massage is available at the Buehler Park pavilion. This service is provided by Kevin Mayhill, Licensed Massage Therapist.
- Post Ride Showers
- Want to freshen up before hitting the road back home? You will be able to use the shower facility at the University of Missouri - Rolla's athletic facility. The Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building is less than a mile away from TOTO headquarters and very easy find.
